I saw this pattern on Craftsy, designed by the Patchsmith and liked it so much. I thought it would look good on my coffee table for Christmas It turned out better than I thought, I used scrap materials which was good. The pattern was easy to follow and went together well. I am very pleased with it and would recommend this to anyone.

Loved the new Mug rug design the Patchsmith http://thepatchsmith.blogspot.co.uk had created, so have made one for my friend for xmas. My seams do not match and i cannot do free hand embroidery but i still think it looks great. It was very easy to do and the pattern was very clear and straight-forward.

Hi
I was asked to make a mug rug for a friend's brother-in-law but was stuck with what to do. His hobby was carpentry and apart from applique-ing some tools i couldn't think of a good design so in the end I decided to do his name. I think it has turned out pretty good and my friend is happy. So if you want to theme a mug rug- remember you can always use their name (as long as its not too long - otherwise you may need two mug rugs - giggle)

Here is my first Cup and Cake Mug Rug made from the Patchsmith Pattern that you can buy on Craftsy. The pattern was very clear and easy to use. I couldn't do the machine quilted steam so stitched it by hand. I found some nice edging in a little fabric shop and used this to decorate the mug. Overall I am very pleased with the finished result and I sure that when my friend receives this for Xmas she will be really pleased.

Welcome
Welcome to Lea's Way.
Hi, this is my first blog, I never thought I would have one of these but here it is. Over the coming weeks and months I hope to share with you my sewing and cross stitch creations. I may join a sew along or two, review a book and test a pattern. So be sure to check back with me regularly.
I have just completed two very cute mug rug's from the Patchsmith's pattern on Craftsy and I'm so pleased. I am trying to make Christmas presents this year for all my friends at work and think mug rugs are a great idea wrapped up nicely with a special packet of biscuits.
The Scottie Dog mug rug was sooooo easy to make, the pattern is very clear and the stencils are exactly right. I would recommend this to anyone and I think if you give this for a pressie you will be the 'bee's knee's' as they say. Right I'm of to try the Patchsmith's 'Tea and Cake' mug rug for another couple of friends - will post the photo's when they're done.
